Katana versus Naginata Tournement - Third place for Dely!
In the CS:I tournament today our Midaisama, Deliziosa Vendetta, won third place for Asakura (first place, Mr. Obi Galli, second place, Mr. U4528 Actor). And... the Sanban Deshi, Lisiel Andel, beat a very tough opponent, in the first round. That is an exceptional accomplishment!!! Congratulations to both of you and the organizer Mrs. Masmako Slade.

The Mission of Asakura
The feudal lord Asakura Yoshikage (1533–1573 AD) wrote: "In the fief of the Asakura, one should not determine hereditary chief retainers. A man should be assigned according to his ability and loyalty." Asakura also observed that the successes of his father were obtained by the kind treatment of the warriors and common people living in domain. By his civility, "all were willing to sacrifice their lives for him and become his allies."
The Asakura school and clan has been created to teach basic and advanced C:SI weapons and techniques and instill a sense of fair play, honor and respect among it's members as well as the entire C:SI community. We believe in having fun as a clan but also the need to maintain a sense of honor and fair play in all situations and conditions. To attain this we teach some of the fundamentals that have long been a part of C:SI: Controlling ARC, scripts, honorable words on the mat and a respect for the opponent.
The clan is organized into two parts, the clan itself and a school. The school consists of 5 levels during which the students will learn the basic and advanced concepts of sparring. They will learn each of the C:SI weapon classes adding additional weapons with each level. Once the 5th level is reached they will graduate to the main clan as a Bushi (Samurai). From there they will work on weapon mastering with incentives to keep improving.
